Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Behavioral Sciences Department of La Rabida hosts postdoctoral training fellowships for individuals who have or will soon complete a predoctoral internship program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
Childhood Abuse and Trauma Fellowship
The postdoctoral training fellowship in childhood trauma is awarded to one individual each year. The fellowship commences on September 1st and is a full-time, benefits eligible position. Clinical responsibilities include:
- Abuse-focused assessment and treatment of children who have experienced sexual or severe physical abuse
- Trauma-focused consultation, assessment and treatment of children exposed to other potentially traumatic events, such as witnessing violence or suffering a catastrophic injury
In addition, the fellow conducts research, teaches, and supervises predoctoral interns. Qualified applicants must have completed or are currently completing an APA-approved predoctoral internship with child training. Positions begin September 1st.
