Expansion Plans for Diabetes Program

La Rabida’s Chicago Children’s Diabetes Center (CCDC) has big news! 

New Provider Meet & Greet
Join us on June 2, 2010 in the La Rabida Library from 3 to 6 p.m.  The Chicago Children's Diabetes Center team invites patients and families to meet our new doctors and learn what's new at the CCDC and in Diabetes care.  Food will be served.

Our New Medical Providers
Effective September 1, 2010, physicians from Children’s Memorial Hospital will staff the CCDC and provide medical leadership.  This will allow us to expand our services and sharpen our focus as Chicago’s premier pediatric diabetes program. 

Board-certified or eligible pediatric endocrinologists will join the CCDC staff, inclusive of a full-time CCDC medical director who will co-direct the CCDC with Dr. Rose Briars, ND, CPNP, CDE.  All are also on staff at Children’s Memorial Hospital.

Our interdisciplinary team of pediatric diabetes professionals and broad range of services distinguishes our ADA-recognized program.

Other Details
We are very excited about what this new affiliation will bring to patients and their families.  In partnership with Children’s Memorial Hospital, the CCDC will provide more outreach clinics on more days, giving parents greater flexibility in scheduling follow up appointments.  More services will be offered in more locations.  Our medical research partners will share our commitment to and focus on pediatric diabetes.  Have questions?
