La Rabida commemorates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Approximately 60 employees, medical staff and others helped commemorate the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a celebration on January 16.

Our own Lula Salley, supervisor, environmental services, kicked off the 60-minute ceremony in the library with words of welcome to the La Rabida staff and congregants from Greater Mt. Avery international Ministries. Other highlights included reflections on Dr. King's era and legacy and two selections from the Greater Mt. Avery's Praise Team.

2011 Holiday Wrap

La Rabida was full of holiday magic the last two months of 2011. The annual Thanksgiving Dinner ushered in a spirit of gratitude and Santa wrapped it up with a bow. In between, patients were delighted by visits from VIPs of Chicago.
