La Rabida's New Diabetes Medical Director Calls for Support

Anita Swamy, MD, is the new Medical Director and Program Co-Director of the Chicago Children’s Diabetes Center at La Rabida (CCDC) and a passionate advocate for pediatric diabetes.

 

She is devoted to educating patients, families and medical providers about the disease. The daughter of a father with diabetes, Swamy knows education is a vital a tool in the fight against the complex disease.
 
Earlier this month, Swamy took a break from seeing patients to make a direct plea for donor support of La Rabida’s programs such as the CCDC.
