The goals include providing a method for using words to help people’s minds and bodies heal from tragedies or overwhelming emergencies as they’re happening, and keeping crises from becoming remembered as traumas in the future.

The ABCs of Diabetes: an Introduction to Diabetes for Caregivers of Children with Diabetes

This class will meet in the La Rabida library. It is geared towards caregivers (parents, grandparents, babysitters, etc.) All of La Rabida's new onset diabetes patients are required to attend the class. Families who need extra education or those who are struggling with the diabetes care regimen need to attend.
