NBC5 Celebrates La Rabida Patient's New Walk

Tuesday November 5th, 2013

A year ago on Halloween, Brittany Terry came into La Rabida with such high levels of blood sugar that she ultimately lost all of one foot and part of the other.

The surgery saved the life of the 13-year-old  though doctors at the other hospital were telling her family to plan a funeral.

Today Brittany has new prosthetic feet and a new attitude. She recently shared her story with NBC5 health reporter Nesita Kwan.
