Kristin Lynch, Director of Development at La Rabida
Kristin Lynch is the new Director of Development at La Rabida Children’s Hospital, bringing broad fundraising experience in the non-profit world to her role at the pediatric specialty hospital.

Lynch is responsible for identifying major gift prospects and developing donor cultivation strategies. She works closely with hospital leadership -- trustees and executive staff -- to identify and secure major gifts, as well as train volunteer solicitors where needed. She collaborates with the Public Relations Department to coordinate media strategies and campaigns for fundraising events.

In addition, Lynch manages a team of fundraising professionals and administrative staff, gift processing, and special events coordination.

Lynch joined La Rabida in 2009 as Major Gifts Officer, developing donor relationships and raising revenue for hospital programs and operations before her promotion to Director of Development.

She held the development directorship position at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum prior to joining La Rabida. At the museum, she had been promoted to increasingly responsible positions and managed a comprehensive development program with an annual revenue goal of $4.5 million.

At the Big Shoulders Fund, Lynch began as development coordinator in 2004 and was promoted to Associate Director of External Affairs in 2006. As Associate Director, she was responsible for the execution of all donor events, including the popular Lend a Shoulder Day. She executed cultivation and stewardship for corporate, individual and foundation donors, meeting the annual revenue goal of $120,000. Lynch also served as a liaison to the 150-member board.

Previously, Lynch completed a year of AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer service at Habitat for Humanity, coordinated national events, and produced communication materials among other duties.

Lynch, 29, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
