A Celebration of Friends Event to Bestow Leadership Awards on November 12th

Monday October 19th, 2009

The Friends of La Rabida Children’s Hospital is hosting its 23^rd annual fundraiser -- A Celebration of Friends -- on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago. Proceeds will benefit hospital programs and services for families and children with special healthcare needs. 

Honoring Community, Civic and Business Leaders
The 2009 Friends of La Rabida Award will be bestowed upon five individuals who are exemplary in their respective fields and give back so others might move forward.  The 2009 Friends of La Rabida Award recipients are:

• Joli Burrell,  Past President of Friends of La Rabida, for Volunteer Leadership
• The Honorable John Cullerton, President, IllinoisState Senate, for Public Service
• Vincent  Foglia, Chairman and CEO, Sage Products, and his wife, Pat, for Humanitarian Vision
• Maria Pinto, Owner, Maria Pinto Boutique, for Creative Inspiration
• James C. Tyree , CEO, Mesirow Financial, for Corporate Involvement

Awards Event Chairpersons

The event is co-chaired by Howard Alper, Founder, Alper Services; Robert Arthur, President, the Magellan Corporation; and Patrick Lynch, President, Chicago Equity Partners.
